Who we are

Albany Buddhist Sangha is a growing Buddhist community in Albany, New York. Buddhists and non-Buddhists of all backgrounds, traditions, and persuasions are invited to put the teachings of Buddha into practice.

Albany Buddhist Sangha is a satellite sangha and outreach project of the New York Buddhist Church (est. 1938). NYBC is one of over 60 Buddhist groups affiliated with the Buddhist Churches of America, the US representative of Shin Buddhism. Shin Buddhism, also known as Jōdo Shinshū, is the largest school of Buddhism in Japan and the Americas.
